About Summer Wind Stables

   Summer Wind Stables' goal is to foster a love of horsemanship and to teach the proper techniques in caring for our equine friends. Our students will fully appreciate the responsibilities and rewards of being an equestrian and develop a life long respect for horses, while developing self-discipline, patience, perseverance, and self-confidence.

Clay and I have raised 8 children.  We both have a love of children and animals.  We have dedicated ourselves to our farm, the people who ride here, and the animals we love.  Our farm is very much family oriented and we treat everyone like family.  The kids are like our own. The most rewarding part of our business is watching our students turn into wonderful adults.  Many that have ridden here have gone onto equine related jobs, become veterinarians, and gone into business themselves.  Many of our students have gone on to teach lessons for us.  It is wonderful that they can take their love of horses and the knowledge they gain here, and turn it into a way to earn money to help them through college.
